Revery.ai is developing a technology that uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to improve the experience of using an online changing room. Since earlier iterations of virtual changing rooms had trouble processing at a scale of over a million clothes monthly, the company is developing the first tool using existing catalog photographs.

Revery is employing deep learning and computer vision as opposed to its rivals who utilize 3D modeling or manually clean up an image to superimpose on a model to make the clothing drape better. Users can also modify their clothing model to seem more like them by using skin tone, hairstyles, and poses. Additionally, it is completely automated, capable of handling millions of SKUs, and ready to go live with a customer in a couple of weeks.

It amazes me how advanced the digital world is becoming. Although 3D modeling is quite powerful, computer vision is on a completely different level that is revolutionizing our augmented reality work in places such as the MetaVerse and it will continue to change how we live our daily lives, including in the closet. Once the technology can implement ideas such as body shapes, and other diverse factors, there will be no doubt that this can lead the fashion industry.
